At the office holiday party a few days ago, I was speaking with a fellow 20-something, hipsterish-looking dude and happened to mention something about Jens Lekman. He stared at me blankly with no sense of comprehension. As if I needed further proof that I live in a self-imposed cultural bubble where musicians who are as big as Cher in my world don’t even register in the lexicon of most ordinary Americans.

To which I feel obligated to add, re: this track: Is Jens Lekman turning into Herman Dune? And is this a good thing?
